The EC-funded Integrated Project KNOWandPOL is concerned with the way different kinds of knowledge are mobilised in policy making in different European countries. Twelve teams from eight countries have investigated health and education policy in local, national and international contexts.
Our Edinburgh-based team has now produced six reports covering: the organization of mental health policy in Scotland; the consultation and review paper Towards a Mentally Flourishing Scotland; the emergence and adoption of the idea of recovery; the role of indicators on mental health policy making; Scotland’s relations with WHO and WHO’s work on mental health in Europe.
